Newly elected Senator John Smith included Vernon 4-H member in a celebration he planned which included special guest, Governor Jindal. The Vernon 4-H members lead the Pledge of Allegiance and the “2 Measure Up” string quartet performed. The 4-H Centennial Celebration was highlighted in the introduction of 4-H members, Amanda Basco, Robyn Briscoe and Katie Thomas as well as the display of the 4-H Centennial banner. The celebration hosted appropriately 1000.
