[Image: Pickering Jr & Sr 4-H Club Pizza Party]Pickering Junior and Senior 4-H Clubs enjoy pizza and treats provided by March of Dimes and the Vernon Parish 4-H Teen Leader Club. The pizza party was designed to recognize the club members that helped earn over $2000.00 for March of Dimes. This money was earned through a walk held at the High School that encouraged all students and the community to participate throughout the day. March of Dimes is a parish-wide service learning project that encourages all clubs to educate the students and the community concerning March of Dimes and to raise funds for research and education. Over the past 7 years, Vernon Parish 4-H Members have raised over $35,000.00 through activities like the walk, can shakes, chain link sales, raffles, and Baby Bootie sales. Above Chad Hagan, 4-H Agent serves pizza to 4-H members.
