Regional 4-H Leader Training
[Image: Health Rocks Session]Adult and youth 4-H Leaders from 9 parishes in the Southern Region attended a workshop day held in Ville Platte on July 31, 2008. The training sessions were held on Parliamentary Procedure, Club Meeting Ideas, SET (Science, Engineering and Technology) Updates, Volunteer Opportunities, HEALTH Rocks and more. Vernon 4-H Agent, Kem Johnson and Volunteer Leader, Leslie Ortiz, serve on the planning committee for this event.
Rae Addison, Leesville Senior 4-H Member and State 4-H Executive member conducted a session to introduce HEALTH ROCKS! to participants. HEALTH ROCKS! is lessons designed to incorporate healthy eating and fitness into daily routines in a fun educational way. Program also focuses on stress issues that involve our youth.
