Price & Koch Win State

Koch, both of Anacoco Senior 4-H, await the National NCAA Baseball Champions, the LSU Tigers, upon their return to Alex Box Stadium on the LSU campus. Not only were the LSU Tigers successful, however, but so were Price and Koch as they came home the state winners in Sports Broadcasting during the Annual State 4-H University, which is held on the LSU campus in June. This event requires that the duo call the game and provide play-by-play for a pre-recorded game of either baseball, football or basketball. They chose basketball as Robby is an Anacoco Indian basketball player and C.J. is a track and field event participant. After several practice sessions with their coach, Cleve Weisgerber, extension agent with the LSU AgCenter, they won the event, which has provided them with an all-expense trip to San Antonio with the Louisiana 4-H delegation in early August. They, along with Amber Sharp, also of Anacoco Senior 4-H, who earlier won the trip through Louisiana Co-Op Conference, will be touring the Alamo and the Natural Bridges caverns, enjoy a riverboat ride, Schlitterbahn Water Park, the River Walk and more.
