The annual Washington Parish Health Fair and the Covington Health Fair were both well attended with hundreds of residents receiving information from the LSU AgCenter.
Residents spoke one-on-one with agents to get questions answered on a variety of topics and enjoyed an assortment of booths from local agencies. The LSU AgCenter's booth was a huge success at both fairs. The booth offered seeds to residents and information on planting to encourage local farming and family resource management information to help residents cope with economical issues.
Washington Parish watermelons were given away as door prizes.
County Agent Henry Harrison and Family Resource Management Agent Valerie Vincent were on hand to offer guidance to local residents.
