Volunteer Homemaker Council Service Project Benefits the Library

[Image: Homemakers Donate to Library ]

Each year members of the Washington Parish Volunteer Homemaker Council collect their pennies to benefit a service project for the Washington Parish Library.

On September 21, 2009, the Volunteer Homemaker Council and the LSU AgCenter presented the Washington Parish Library's Franklinton Branch with a $300 donation to help expand the audio books selection of the library.  Library Director Joe Sbisa was on hand to receive the donation.

The Washington Parish Volunteer Homemaker Council's members are actively involved in a number of service projects throughout the parish, and each quarter they lend their time, energy, effort and resources to various service projects.
