Agriculture Crops Building

I am asking home vegetable gardeners, vegetable producers and others to bring a display to exhibit at the fair. I know we have had some awfully dry weather and it may be difficult to get the exhibit you want to show, but whatever you have, bring it to display.

We will be taking entries on Monday, Oct. 19, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and on Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 8 a.m. until noon.

On Saturday afternoon (Oct. 24) of the fair at the Agriculture Crops Building, I will be giving out VEGETABLE AND FLOWER SEEDS. These seeds are many of the varieties I recommend for planting. Also, if everything goes as planned, I will be giving away -- through a drawing -- Encore azaleas and other azalea varieties. So if you are at the fair, come visit the Agriculture Crops Building and get some seeds to plant a garden and Encore azaleas to beautify the home grounds.

Make sure you enjoy the fair by having a safe, family-oriented, fun-filled week of activities!

We will also have a Biggest Pumpkin Weigh Off. Come to see the Biggest Pumpkin grown in the parish!
