The Daily News and the LSU AgCenter are sponsoring a Big Pumpkin Contest. We hope the pumpkins will be ready for this year’s Washington Parish Fair. We have 43 contestants signed up, and they should have their seeds planted by now. I will be making home visits to see the actual planting. The Daily News and other sponsors will be providing awards to winners in the youth and adult divisions.
