Challenge Camp

2009 Challenge Camp
7th and 8th Graders ONLY!

DEADLINE: March 9th

Departure from 4-H Office: March 26, 2009
Time of Arrival to 4-H Office: 12pm, March 28, 2009

                                                What is Challenge Camp?

This awesome 3-day camp features games and fun activities that take you outdoors for some really cool challenges like Beam Me Up, the Water Tube, Nitro Crossing and Amazon! You’ll test your team building and communication skills while meeting new people and forming friendships to last a lifetime. Join in the fun with exciting pick-your-own tracks like Theater Arts, Shooting Sports, Event Planning and Tech Time. Or, you can contribute to saving the planet while creating crazy works of art in our service-learning project. And of course, there’s plenty of time left over to hang out with friends during free-time and at the legendary camp dance each night!

                                                 How much does it cost?

Camp fees are only $55 which includes a two-night stay and all meals and snacks upon arrival, your camp T-shirt and transportation.

  2. Camper health form
  3. Code of conduct
  4. Parental Consent For Administering Medication (if applicable)

If you have a disability that requires special assistance for your participation in this event, or have any other questions, please contact the 4-H Office at 428-3571. 

                                                      What to Bring

2 single bed-size sheets and 1 blanket (or sleeping bag)
1 pillow and pillowcase
Towels and washcloths and/or bath sponge
Liquid-type soap or body wash (no soap in paper cartons, please)
Toothbrush, toothpaste, and other personal items
Flip Flops or shower shoes for the bathhouse
Waterproof shower bag to carry personal items to and from the bathhouse
Casual clothes like jeans, shorts and T-shirts
Comfortable shoes like athletic shoes
Appropriate undergarments and personal items
Appropriate sleepwear
Light jacket or sweater for cool nights
Disposable camera (optional)
Sports bottle for carrying drinking water
Clean “trash” for service-learning art project

Important Note:

Avoid bringing expensive items as we cannot be responsible for lost or stolen articles. Be sure your personal items are labeled with your name, parish and phone number. Please leave cell phones at home. Any cell phones brought to camp will be locked up and will not be returned until the trip home. Portable CD/DVD players and other electronic devices will not be allowed outside the cabins during scheduled activities.
