Award of Excellence for Junior 4-H Members

The Louisiana 4-H Foundation will sponsor the Louisiana Award of Excellence again this year. Applications are due to the West Carroll 4-H office by Jan. 7, 2013 which is the same date as the Key Club Award for senior members.

The 4-H Award of Excellence in Louisiana gives recognition to 4-H Club members who show outstanding leadership ability in their club and in their parish. The object of the program is to encourage project growth. The recipient of the 4-H Award of Excellence can be proud of his contribution to his club and community. A club member may win the award only one time.

The basic requirements are as follows:

  1. Must be under 14 years of age by Jan. 1 of the club year application is made.
  2. Must have at least two years of 4-H club work, including the award year.
  3. Must score at least 100 points on the application and scorecard.
