2009 State Fair of Louisiana

The State Fair of Louisiana will be in Shreveport on October 23 through November 8, 2009. As in previous years, all commercial and market animals must order DNA kits and ear tags. This year, the fee is $6.00 per animal and must be ordered by 4-H or FFA agents. There is no limit to the number an exhibitor can validate, however, an exhibitor will be permitted to enter and exhibit a maximum of three Market Steer, three Market Heifer, five Market Lambs, five Market Goats, five Market Swine and three Commercial Heifers. DNA samples and information card must be returned to the State Fair Office via certified mail with return receipt requested.

The due date for State Fair entry forms to be turned into the West Carroll 4-H Office will be August 14, 2009.
