Barnett speaks at the Oakdale Rotary Club

Barnett, Ph.D., Professor/Regional Director for the Central Region of LSU AgCenter, was the guest speaker at the Oakdale Rotary Club on Tuesday, February 3, at The Hardwood Mill Restaurant. Barnett explained that the Louisiana Extension Service is the Louisiana State University Agricultural Center's division responsible for education and outreach across Louisiana. Through its statewide network of faculty, it has offices in all 64 parishes. Through its Baton Rouge headquarters, the LSU AgCenter's Extension Service serves citizens from all walks of life by putting research-based information to work for a better economy and quality of life for all. Dr. Barnett answered several questions from the group assembled regarding Extension Service.
All Extension programs are open to any person regardless of race, color, creed, sex, religion, natural origin or handicap.
