Progress After The Storms

Under the leadership of Dr. Brian LeBlanc, progress and research continue at the Coastal Area Research Station with the construction of eight research ponds that wlll cultivate a varity of species aimed at coastal restoration. Despite last season's storms, CARS is thriving with an optimistic outlook to assist residents of coastal Lousiana in storm preparedness, recovery, and restoration.

A Brief History of the Coastal Area Research Station
The Coastal Area Research Station was established in 1948 on approximately 100 acres of land.
