Phone: (318) 473-6520 · Fax: (318) 473-6535

Covering more than 3,000 acres, the Dean Lee Research and Extension Station is the largest among the facilities that make up the Louisiana Agricultural Experiment Station. Located in Alexandria, right next to the LSU-Alexandria campus, the station is in the heart of Louisiana agriculture. Research is conducted on cattle, corn, cotton, soybeans, wheat and grain sorghum. Dean Lee is home to one of the oldest performance bull testing programs in the country. More than 8,000 animals have gone through the program since 1958. Scientists are working to develop corn varieties resistant to aflatoxin, a major disease concern.
