May 14, 2008, LSU AgCenter hosted the Carbon Credit Conf. in Alexandria, La., to provide landowners and natural resource professionals with a comprehensive understanding of the emerging carbon trading market. Presentations attached provide info on the environmental rationale behind the development of a carbon cap-and-trade market and how it works, which forest and agricultural management activities can produce carbon credits for sale, and potential changes ahead for carbon trading. |
