Carbon Credit Conference

May 14, 2008, LSU AgCenter hosted the Carbon Credit Conf. in Alexandria, La., to provide landowners and natural resource professionals with a comprehensive understanding of the emerging carbon trading market. Presentations attached provide info on the environmental rationale behind the development of a carbon cap-and-trade market and how it works, which forest and agricultural management activities can produce carbon credits for sale, and potential changes ahead for carbon trading.

Research Projects (CRIS)
Louisiana Agricultural Experiment Station research is conducted through approved projects that meet specific criteria. Each project is assigned a CRIS (Current Research Information System) number that is used to track the progress of the research and to report the project status to the Louisiana Agricultural Experiment Station and USDA. CRIS project reports from all states are available from the on-line archives in Washington, D.C. at http://cwf.uvm.edu/cris.
