May Field Clinic

Pecan Research-Extension Station faculty presented a pecan clinic on May 4, 2006, at Verl Day’s pecan orchard in western Pointe Coupee parish. Topics discussed included pecan nut casebearer, weed control, pecan scab disease control for orchards in southern Louisiana, planting pecan trees and pruning during the early years.  Information of these topics can be found on the Entomology, Horticulture and General Orchard Maintenance pages of this Web site.
