The Louisiana Pecan Growers Association held their annual convention on June 15-16, 2006, in Shreveport, La. The program began on June 15 with a field tour at the Pecan Research-Extension Station and continued at the Clarion Hotel on June 16 with several presentations. The photographs below are from the field tour at the Pecan Research-Extension Station during which scientists discussed some research and gave talks on various topics including monitoring for pecan phylloxera, pecan nut casebearer pheromone traps, pecan weevil traps, leaf sampling for leaf analysis, pecan scab disease control, herbicide evaluations and tree crop load experiments.
