Arkansans visit
Thirteen agents and state staff from Arkansas visited the Bossier 4-H office recently. Their main interest was school club involvement. The Bossier 4-H staff presented a PowerPoint dealing with school club settings in Bossier Parish. The visitors left with a handful of handouts and information on starting up a school club. Their visit ended by attending a school club meeting in Princeton.
The Princeton club with 194 members did an outstanding job in conducting their 4-H club meeting. The visiting agents also had time to meet with the principal, who explained the importance of having 4-H in their school.
Locked in for nature
Joe Barrett organized the 4-H Nature Club’s lock-in to celebrate the end of the school year and accomplishments of the group. Seventeen youth attended the overnight event, evaluated last year’s program and made plans for the next year. They cooked jambalaya and made homemade donuts.
