Plant Pathology Research at the Red River Research Station

Title: Etiology and control of important cotton diseases in Louisiana.

Objectives:
  • Evaluate fungicides and other management practices for seedling diseases of cotton in Louisiana cotton.
  • Develop management strategies for Fusarium wilt, root-knot nematode and the Fusarium wilt/root-knot nematode complex and determine their individual and collective effect on cotton productivity.
  • Monitor the progress of new and emerging disease problems.
