Beef, forage field day set for April 16 in Bossier City

BOSSIER CITY, La. – The Northwest Beef and Forage Field Day will be held April 16 at the LSU AgCenter Red River Research Station.

Topics will include cattle traceability, an overview of Louisiana beef research, using alternative fertilizers, weed control options, using forage legumes and a demonstration of baleage in a cow-calf operation.

Preregistration by April 9 is requested with the station by calling 318-741-7430, Ext. 1107.

The event will be from 9 a.m. until noon, and a lunch will be provided.

The Red River Research Station is located in southern Bossier City off Highway 71S approximately 3 miles south of the Jimmie Davis Bridge.
